Artwork is considered "ready" when it can be used for prepress and printing without the need for adjustments that may possibly incur added fees or results in delays.
When submitting digital art files to screen designs, please refer to the guidelines below. If you have any questions call us at 701-293-0077.
.pdf, .jpg, .gif, .tiff,.bmp
300 dpi resolution preferred (the higher, the better)
Additional ART FEES apply
Vector artwork files must be saved to Adobe Illustrator (version 11) or CorelDraw (version X4). All text must be converted to curves or outlines to prevent font substitutions. Include a proof of your design with color designations to confirm that no font substitutions have occured. All objects must have atleast a 1pt line thickness to guarantee proper print quality. If the vector file containes any placed raster images, these images must meet or exceed our requirements for resolution when rendered at 100% of the final imprint size. Also, they must be submitted with the original vector file. We use spot colors for screen printing. Artwork must be submitted in actual size of the desired print. Click here for sizing chart.
If Raster artwork is the only art available, a $25 per hour charge will apply, to convert to vector. (Raster images are based in pixel and thus scale with loss of clarity, while vector-based images can be scaled indefinitely without degrading quality.)
Special Effects, Fades, Shadows, Shading, etc., are not recommended. Some special effects can't be produced with screen printing. Give us a call to ensure that we can produce the look you are after. You may want to consider digital transfers if your art contains these.
